The Giallorossi have immediately returned to training ahead of their away game in Como. Ghisolfi was also present on the sideline.
Following their triumph in the Europa League against Braga, which ended in a convincing 3-0 victory, Roma wasted no time in resuming their training in Trigoria this morning. In the crosshairs, there is indeed the daunting away game challenge in Como, scheduled for Sunday at 6 PM. The team has been divided into two groups – a usual practice following the games: standard training for those who didn’t play (or played a little) against the Portuguese, while it’s downtime for everyone else. On the field were Selemaekers, Hermoso (author of yesterday’s third goal), Shomurodov, Celik, El Shaarawy, Dahl, Sangaré, Angeliño, Le Fée, Baldanzi and many other youngsters from the Spring team. Florent Ghisolfi was also present to monitor the training from the sidelines, working tirelessly for the immediate future of the club juggling between the January market, the new CEO, and the new head coach. In the initial phase of activation, Ranieri’s determination to keep the team’s focus high was immediately noticed: “Short step. Don’t push, but show you’re there,” he reportedly told the players, particularly Shomurodov. Subsequently, it was time for a mini-match on a reduced-size field with small goals. The only rule of the exercise, which didn’t even include offside, was that the goal had to be scored with a single touch (kicking first). The three points up for grabs in Como are crucial for Roma, who, following two consecutive victories, must continue on their path of resurgence.
The Giallorossi took to the field in Trigoria, just two days before the showdown in Florence. Juric has recovered his centre-back but must once again do without the former Frosinone winger.
Following their European success against Dinamo Kiev, the thoughts of Roma are once again entirely focused on the championship. The ‘Giallorossi’ took to the field this morning at Trigoria to thoroughly prepare for their delicate away game against Fiorentina. There are good news for Juric as he can once again rely on Gianluca Mancini. The central red-yellow player has overcome the fever that forced him to the sidelines in the Europa League and is ready to retake control of the defense. Conversely, Matìas Soulé is still dealing with a severe bout of fever. For the yellow-reds, this Sunday’s match will be a decisive challenge in the race for a spot in Europe. In case of defeat, Palladino’s team (currently in fifth place) would rush ahead by +6, greatly complicating the plans of Juric who has repeatedly stated that the seasonal goal is to return to the Champions League.
