Edoardo Bove, former midfielder for Roma, took center stage for the “Random Interview” by Vanity Fair. The former number 52 in yellow and red answered a series of curious and personal questions, giving fans an unprecedented glimpse into his life on and off the field. Here are his words:
What is an unachieved desire of yours?
“Playing the Champions League final”
What was your favorite toy as a child?
“Do I have to answer? (Laughs). The ball”
Who is the most overrated player in the history of football?
“I’m going to skip this one to avoid problems”
Do footballers earn too much?
“I’m not skipping this one because I believe they do. Compared to the effort, yes.”
Are you passionate about women’s football?
“Yes, I love it. I believe it is a rapidly growing environment and I hope it will continue to gain more attention. “I was following Roma and now Fiorentina. I believe that Valentina Giacinti is incredibly talented.” “What has been the best day of your life?”
“The day they told me that I would be part of the first team of Roma. I still remember the emotion and it is a day that I look back on with great pleasure.” “What was the worst day of your life?”
“I hit rock bottom, but I skip over it so I don’t have any problems (laughs).”
