His words: “Duvan is an important player, but it’s the team that makes you win”
Voivoda, a player from Torino, spoke to Dazn microphones after the match against Roma. Here are his words:
VOJVODA TO DAZN
The first half was similar to the one against Como. Did you have a hesitant approach then the substitutions changed the game? What were you lacking? Perhaps a bit of personality with the ball? “Today in the first half, a bit of personality with the ball was missing. Rome has put us in distress, they created a numeric superiority where needed, leaving us struggling to recognize the slips. We were low, struggling to break out with the ball. “We had few scoring opportunities,” lamented the team.
But how much does Zapata’s absence weigh on the side?
“Duvan is a key player, but it is the group that leads you to victory. We all need to take more responsibility and improve. The injury cannot be an excuse. The season is long in Serie A, there are times when you feel a little low, but only as a team can we turn the situation around.”
VOJVODA IN PRESS CONFERENCE
What didn’t work? “We wanted to avoid conceding goals in the first 25-30 minutes, we played defensively and waited for them, but they gave us a hard time by creating numerical superiority with their movements.” “Then there was this, let’s say, gifted goal and it hurt us. It’s not the first time that it takes us a while to wake up, we always need to concede a goal to react, and this has to change,” the report stated.
Moving forward the report addressed the noticeable struggle stating, “You had a hard time getting past the three-quarters mark.” “We were too subdued during the first half, we struggled to break free, we fared better in the second half, trying to play more but we didn’t manage to create enough,” the speaker expressed fervently.
Where will you start from again?
“Already starting tomorrow, we anticipate our home fans to assist us.” “Only together will we move forward. We started off strong, but the season is long and we must accept that there will be down moments. We will strive to push ahead and win.”
