The name is that of Angus Kinnear, the current CEO of Leeds United. However, at Trigoria there’s no sign of the successor to Lina Souloukou who left the Giallorossi about six months ago.

While Roma is still in search of a new CEO following the resignation of Lina Souloukou last September, the Friedkin Group seems to have found the right individual for Everton. Angus Kinnear, the current CEO of Leeds United, will join the Toffees at the end of this season. According to the Daily Mail, the 47-year-old has been identified as the top candidate to lead the English club into a new era under American ownership. For the selection process, the Friedkins have turned to the recruitment agency Nolan Partners, with the aim of hiring an experienced executive who can oversee the entire sports project. Everton, in fact, has been without a permanent CEO since Denise Barrett-Baxendale resigned in the summer of 2023, leaving the club with Colin Chong serving in an interim role, primarily focused on completing the new stadium. In Liverpool, Dan and Ryan are making decisive moves to rebuild the management team, while the situation in Rome appears far more uncertain. Following the departure of Souloukou, the yellow-and-red ownership had identified Alessandro Antonello as the ideal candidate to restructure the management department, but the negotiation seems to have stalled. Hence, The Yellow-Reds continue to sail without a CEO, at a pivotal moment for the future of the club.
