The yellow and red club has generously donated goods and services to vulnerable families at the “Padre Claudio Santoro” Welcome Center.
As Christmas approaches, Roma continues its ongoing volunteer program ‘Stronger Together’ with a day dedicated to the “Padre Claudio Santoro” Welcome Center in Tor Tre Teste. The event, which took place this afternoon, also saw participation from Gianluca Mancini and Mats Hummels, along with some youngsters and accompanied by Maurizio Lombardo, the Chief Football Operating Officer. The ‘Giallorossi’ have donated goods and services to families in vulnerable situations. Here is the club’s press release:
The initiative involved the University Polyclinic Campus Bio-Medico – Official Medical Partner of AS Roma – which donated an examination bed, two screens, a medical cart, and two complete medical kits for general practice consultations to inaugurate a permanent health point that will remain open for all guests of the Center and for people living on the margins of the Fifth Municipality who are unable to access the National Health System. The Club also participated in setting up the garrison by donating some of the furnishings.
The health point – which was inaugurated by the Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of the Campus Bio-Medico University Polyclinic Foundation, Paolo Sormani – began to operate immediately with the healthcare staff from the hospital who made themselves available to guests of the Center to provide a series of free cardiology visits with electrocardiogram. Moreover, thanks to the generosity and cooperation of some partners and licensees of AS Roma such as La Molisana, Q8, Decò Supermarkets, and Icam, the Club’s employees were able to distribute food items and comfort goods, allowing the guests of the Center to spend a dignified Christmas.
At the “Stronger Together” event, enlivened by the presence of actor and passionate Roma fan Max Giusti, also joining in were the President of the Capitolina Assembly Svetlana Celli, the President of the Fifth Municipality Mauro Caliste, and the Spokeswoman for the Lazio Third Sector Forum, Francesca Danese.
