A very important match for Roma in the Europa League against Dinamo Kiev. “Not the best start in Europe.” “We could have done better in Sweden. “Tomorrow is crucial as we need the three points, we want to deliver an impressive game,” tinges the anticipant mood.
So what has changed between De Rossi and Juric? “Everyone has their own philosophies. Juric’s approach to the game is much more aggressive and we need to believe in the coach’s ideas, which are obviously visible during practices,” draws the tug of different perspectives and strategies. “As for performance, we are already doing well, we just need to score points.”
How are you handling the lapses in attention you have during the match?
“The best thing is to train hard, we are working to maintain our focus for 90 minutes. On Sunday, we played a great game against the strongest team of the A League, but then we made some mistakes.”
BALDANZI AT THE CONFERENCE
How are you and what do you expect from this match? “I’m feeling good. The Dinamo is an intense team. It’s going to be a tough match. “We strive to do well and to score the first 3 points in the Europa League”.
Do you think this time might help Soulé to grow?
“Certainly, if you move from a lower-ranked team, there’s an adaptation period. “He’s a quality player and I think he’ll fit in just perfectly.”
Is he better at playing on the left or right in the three-quarters? “It’s the same, I’ve played on the left a few times but I feel comfortable on both sides.” How do you handle the controversy within the locker room? “We focus on the matches, trying to play well. We understand the sentiments of the fans, it’s not a perfect situation, but we can only change their minds by winning.” Was the period playing as a midfielder and filling another role also important? “Yes, it was. I’m young and in a team like this, I need to be able to cover multiple roles. It was highly valuable to me”.
