According to reports from Il Messaggero, the club’s management has set its sights on Jorthy Mokio, a promising 2008-born defender currently under contract with Gent. The Giallorossi are actively scouting emerging talents across Europe, with the left-footed center-back, who has notably impressed in the Belgian youth setup, emerging as a prime target.

The 16-year-old Belgian defender has honed his skills in the Gent academy but has yet to make his senior debut. Known for his versatility, Mokio can operate not only as a central defender but also as a full-back or midfielder. Possessing a strong physique and excellent positional sense, Belgium’s youth team coach, Bob Browaeys, had high praise for the 2008 prospect, describing him as “the sought-after left-footed central defender everyone desires.” Browaeys emphasized Mokio’s robustness, prowess in duels, astute decision-making, and exceptional passing ability capable of breaking lines, all underscored by his strong mentality.

In the UEFA Youth League, Mokio has already showcased his potential with two appearances, totaling 180 minutes in the recent double-header against Benfica.
