The Roma legend takes center stage in the launch of the film due out November 14, a sequel to Ridley Scott’s colossal hit.
That Francesco Totti is a symbol of Roma, but above all of the city of Rome, is no mystery. And what better occasion than the presentation of a movie like ‘The Gladiator II’ to reiterate this indissoluble bond? The former Giallorossi captain was the absolute protagonist of the scene enacted during Lucca Comics to launch the sequel of the historic colossal hit featuring Oscar winner, Russel Crowe. A highly anticipated film, set to release on November 14th in Italian theaters, once again directed by the eminent Ridley Scott. On the occasion of the Lucca Comics, Francesco Totti has been chosen as the ambassador. Dressed as a general, he presents himself, back facing the audience, in front of his legion. Then he takes off his helmet and turns towards the crowd. “Totti, Totti, Totti, Totti”, echoes all around St. Michael’s Square. Then, the Roma legend ascends within a building and steps onto the balcony, leaning out to greet the square.
