The attack of Roma was the real weak link of the past season. As mentioned in one of our recent podcasts, Abraham and Belotti scored 8 goals in Serie A in 2022/2023 – all of which were scored by the Englishman – a rather disastrous result if they want to compete for top positions.
Excluding Dybala from this discussion – the Argentine is not a typical striker – Roma needs a big name for the offensive department. The profiles most closely linked to the Giallorossi are those of Morata and Scamacca. Beyond each person’s personal evaluation of these attackers, the ideal situation for Roma would be to sign both of them.
But can we expect such a solution? Due to the restrictions imposed by the settlement agreement, it is not easy, but it is not impossible either. To dream of a double offensive coup, in fact, a series of combinations must fall into place.
