It’s official now: Angelino is a new player for Roma. Serie A League announced it on its own website, with the contract of the winger from Leipzig having been deposited.
Yesterday morning, the winger, after the agreement between the Giallorossi club and Red Bull Leipzig (with the consent of Galatasaray), landed in the Capital and subsequently underwent routine medical examinations, with the signature expected for today, along with the official announcement.
The details of the deal. As reported in recent days, Angelino moves to Italy on the basis of a loan with a redemption clause set at 5 million euros. Daniele De Rossi will therefore have the new reinforcement available on the left flank, one of the latest moves by gm Tiago Pinto, who will leave the Roman club at the end of the winter transfer window, as announced at the beginning of 2024.
Angelino’s statistics. This season, the former Manchester City player has worn the Galatasaray jersey, as mentioned. In Istanbul, the Spanish player, born in ’97, played a total of nineteen matches, including the Turkish Super Lig, preliminaries, and group stage of the Champions League. He scored one goal and provided one assist, with a total of 1,475 minutes played on the field. It will take some time to return to top form, at least in terms of match fitness: the last game played was on December 12th, in the Champions League, while in the league, you have to go back to the end of October.
